The Mob of Crows have Returned.
The good news is they have returned adding their spice to life on the slough, they are boisterous, lively and will gain in numbers over the next few weeks. Crows are my favorite bird, I welcome their return each year, they are the first to come, the waterbirds will be next.

Yeh, I’m fine doing what I love to do, fooling around with nature, my Spirit is Free on the River, I’ll be here forever.

Coots, Blackbirds, and Crows are staging a comeback.
The migratory animals will be returning as well, although due to West Nile Virus we lost several large flocks of birds. The Red Wing Blackbirds, Crows, and Mudhens are a few of the birds that have declined drastically.
