Beautiful Morning.
These activities take place on the Delta in the thousands yearly, perhaps millions of times. I captured a flock of high flying Canadian Honkers going overhead. That picture (I mentioned it in an earlier blog) looks as if it’s a flock of Bees flying way up there; I kept it anyway, that’s just the way I am.

For Joy, a New Computer.
I bought a Samsung computer, I thought it stood to reason that because she’s on her cell phone all of the time it would be good to have all her stuff on both of them. I told her we’ll be able to push a few buttons and the thing will be set up.

A Busy Bird Morning.
A huge flock of Canadian Honkers flew overhead while I was on the lookout, they were however at a lofty height. I took a photo but it looks more like a swarm of Bees than a flock of Geese.

The Egrets Were Out Early Yesterday.
At times I set my video camera up and record them, I have viewed them for as long as 1/2 hour while the bird stood motionless. Watching the videos is like sitting on the Levee (as I do at times) and just looking around. It takes so long to capture them doing something (anything) I forget my camera is running; from a 1/2 hr video I might glean one minute of usable footage.

Out Before Daybreak; Ambush The Hummingbirds!
I had it all planned, rise early, grab coffee, camera and Skunkpuppy then take hundreds of photos of Hummingbirds. Unfortunately the birds did not get the memo.

The Sky Is Clear.
Flying birds are tough to focus, flying small, fast ducking and weaving birds are nearly impossible. I gave up on the Hummers choosing to take images of flowers which I may write a blog about soon. The problem with a photo story blog is I don’t know what to say about pretty flowers.

A Different Side.
I’m in the house until the smoke clears, again, on the few occasions I venture out a 3-M respirator is my choice of smoke protection. The paper masks are fine for the C-19 but smoke is a different concern, the PM-10 is a killer. Smoke allergies are more common than we realize and cause serious illness or on occasion death;

A Few Clear Days; Another Fire.
Everyone in the family with the exception of the mid-northerners and New Yorkers are dealing with heavy smoke. Even Colorado, my daughter is socked in by the 3rd largest wildfire in Colorado history. If we’re not careful this could get serious real quick.

The Sky Cleared Again; We’ll Take It.
The early sun accompanied with the deep blue sky invites the birds out to the slough early in the morning.

Everything Looks So Far Away; Since the Smoke Cleared.
The fires nearest here are 98% contained, at this juncture it means they are out and some of the crew stays behind to take care of hot spots. I hope there are no more.
