Temperature + Wind = Wildfires
The conditions are ripe, lightening strikes, excessive heat and accidental human causes are all in effect. I live in the Southern part of the high risk area, human nature dictates our thoughts to think it won’t happen here. Maybe not but if it does we’re in serious trouble,

Little Rain, Little Ducks and Goslings
We are fortunate to have two nesting pairs within my eyesight, one Mallard, Mud-hens, Pelicans and the forever active River Otters along with Mink.

Wind, Rain and A Great White Egret
I didn’t say much else I remain curious because on my side 80 mile per winds erupt once or twice a year; mostly one event.

A Bit Of Rain; A Lot of Wind
To add on the list of good things the slight rain accomplishes is it will most likely hold the Wildfires off for a few weeks, less or more I can’t predict. More rain is expected Thursday hopefully dumping more snow in the Sierra Nevadas where the Fires are usually larger and more deadly. With this wind it may be extremely bad this year; not only in California but all of the States west of the 100th meridian.

Rural Urban Wildlife
My mindset is no matter how far I can wander around, which is 1/2 mile to the North and the same to the South, I am always able to find something to take a picture of. Will it be an award winner? Maybe not but there is always the possibility I’ll come across notable subject.

The Amazing Red Tailed Hawk
They have been seen hunting directly in the smoke from wildfires. In Australia it has been documented by Ranchers of the Hawks picking up flaming materials then dropping it in a dry zone and starting another fire. No such reports have originated in the Americas.

Try and Fail; Bad words.

Doves and Natural Colors that Don’t look Natural.
There is always someone questioning the integrity of them and don’t believe they were not edited to death which they weren’t. It has at times gotten to the point that I am expected to explain how it happened. It’s hard for some to believe they look without seeing, after seeing these animals for years the experience has taught me some things just don’t stand to reason or logic. Those are the basic ways humans think and most likely the reason we don’t understand animals very well at all; they possess no login or reason. Animals thinking may include them but I believe it is overshadowed by what evolution has bred into them. Their priorities are much different then ours, at the top of the list for them is food, for us it’s buying a new gadget.

The Doves are Nesting.
While having coffee in the morning on the Levee I keep telling myself I should write my blog at that time. I convince myself that I will begin tomorrow; the next morning I have the same conversation. I don’t believe I’m neither that organized or energetic to do that; beside all of that I wouldn’t have anything to do while my wife watches “chick flicks” in the everning on Netflix.

The Fog Has Lifted.
Tomorrows a new day that looks like it will be clear. Another bit of rain is predicted arriving this Friday in a minimal amount. The important part is how much snow will fall on the Sierra Nevadas, the snow pack is what makes the difference in our water supply next Summer. We won’t be out of this rough by a long shot,
