The Crows have returned conjuring up the question I have each year as to where they migrate from and why. They were out in their typical form at daybreak, they and the Vultures are generally the first ones out and about. Crows and Ravens share only a few traits which is contrary to what most of us have been lead to believe.
During this time of year it's easy to take 1,000 plus images in one sitting. That takes a couple of hours, editing takes a couple of days at times I have upwards of 2,000 on the waiting list.
he's been out of work for the entire Covid adventure; he's returning this week. I don't know if I could have been out of work that long, I'm fortunate in being an old disabled man. If I was not
It is a common misconception that birds are not able to detect odors, however science is discovering the opposite to be the case.
That is part of the secret of photography the image must bring out an emotion in the viewer as well as tell a bit of a story for me to work with. In this blog there are 7 story telling photos, the bonus is they can be used over again many times.
I don't mind except for the unsolicited attention which I honestly do not like, I am more of a reserved person. I hesitated for over a month to decide whether to post my photos on that insufferable site. My initial plan was to post two pictures on the first of each month making sure they are current to the month they are posted.
Sparrows are in every Continent on Earth excluding Antartica. They are very resourceful birds, although insect/seed eaters they have to exert little effort to find a meal.
I take numerous shots that resemble many others. I was walking through a small booth area where they were selling posters and related items. I stopped at a photo booth, I knew the guy behind it, and on the wall he had a beautiful photo of an Egret standing at attention. I said to him (jokingly, I swear it's the truth) hey you have one of my pictures; he did not appreciate that comment.
One more for this guy as he flies from the pylon to an unknown destination out of my view. After this image he gained altitude, flew to the far side following the Levee then disappeared down around the rivers bend. He will either be back or one of his look alike cronies will show up; like I said they keep things moving around here.
I didn't give it enough thought because if that were to take place with my admittance of cheating it would destroy my credibility with the people in our small town. It would have been smarter for me to cop for it while it was being posted with a header something like, "what do you think of this?" I'm not sure what I'm going to do now, If I let it slide it's not right and if I say something? I'm not sure if anyone cares other than me.
